Is the S-Max really considered a minivan? We rented an S-Max Sport in France, and it felt more like a hatchback. It was so much smaller than the minivans I'm used to in the states.
EDIT: Just kidding. That was a C-Max... Oops

absence of rear sliding doors = Not a minivan. Buy sexy cars if you want sexy. Buy a minivan because you don't care to compromise the utility with sexy styling. Buy both so you don't end up with something that's just a big compromise. Or just get a wagon. :)

Neither the C-Max nor the S-Max are seen as ordinary hatches in Europe; they're both too large, and the proportions are off. One's a sort of lifted hatchback - not a CUV - for old people, and the other's a people carrier for families that are far too large.
